    Nestlé Purina’s Pets for People initiative has been supporting animal welfare organizations since 1984. In 2009, Nestlé Purina provided over $15 million in support to organizations nationally. By supporting our partners in animal welfare, Nestlé Purina helps provide care and adoption for more than 1.5 million pets annually.

  • One Hope Network

    The One Hope Network is Purina ONE’s sustainable commitment to the cause of animal welfare. It achieves its mission of finding forever homes for pets in need by providing high-quality nutrition to help homeless pets look and feel their best so they have a better chance of getting adopted.

  • Adopt A Pet

    Nestlé Purina is the premier sponsor of Adpot-a-Pet.com, the country’s largest non-profit website dedicated to placing homeless pets in permanent homes.   • Delta Society

    Nestlé Purina is the premier sponsor of Delta Society®, the leading international resource for the human-animal bond. Delta Society® has been the force to validate the important role of animals for people’s health and well-being by promoting the results of research to the media and health and human services organizations. Purina is now joined with Delta Society® to help interested Nestlé Purina employees to become a Delta Society® Pet Partner.

    Pet Partners Program is the program of Delta Society which enables pet owner volunteers to provide services to people in their own communities while spending quality time with their pets. Currently there are 16 Nestlé Purina St. Louis Pet Partner Teams and more to come.

  • Purina Pro Plan Rally To Rescue

    Rally to Rescue is a partnership with Purina Pro Plan pet food and select pet rescue organizations dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the cause of pet rescue. Individual organizations can apply to become Rescue Ambassadors, committed to providing rescued pets the nutrition, care, and homes they deserve.   • Purina Pets For Seniors

    Nestlé Purina partners with nearly 250 shelters nationwide to provide senior citizens with reduced cost for adoptions. Participating humane shelters are reimbursed $50 for every senior adoption to help defray the costs of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and other fees.

  • Emergency Response & Relief

    In the aftermath of recent major hurricanes and floods, Nestlé Purina® Pets for People has donated Nestlé Purina® Brand dog and cat foods and litter to various organizations such as Humane Societies, animal clinics, and other relief agencies. Whenever possible, we will continue to provide for animal welfare organizations in need.   • Saint Louis Petlover Coalition

    The St. Louis PetLover Coalition was formed in the spring of 2009 when public and private, large and small, city and county animal service providers came together to discuss improving the lives of dogs and cats in our community. Nestlé Purina convened the original group to share ideas, begin committee work to achieve goals that no one group can achieve alone, and to develop a community-wide comprehensive animal welfare plan by 2010. “The St. Louis PetLover Coalition fosters collaborative efforts of local animal welfare groups and the community to promote responsible pet ownership and to increase the save rate of companion animals in our community.”

    Purina donates food throughout the year in various locations within the contiguous United States as it becomes available through our manufacturing plants and warehouses. Animal Welfare organizations are eligible to receive donations of Purina Brand pet food when they Register with with us at www.petsforpeople.com In 2009, Purina donated pet food valued at $10,902,864 (Retail value).
